OK, just had to tell you that I called the hospital to check on Alex and the nurses would not tell me anything. K had said that we would be able to talk to them but they said they couldn't tell me anything. They basically said I'm not his mom, at least not yet.
Now as I sit here, much more calm and rational I see their side. I guess I should be glad that they are being so protective of Alex. But in that moment, the Mamma Bear in me roared and that's when I really felt like I became his mom. I started crying to the nurse and explained how I just wanted to check in on him, to hear how he is, is he being held and kissed, is he sleeping ok, eating ok, etc. She sympathesized but didn't give me much info.
This is so hard, being away from him and knowing that even if we were there we still would not be able to see him...not until Friday afternoon when K signs the surrender papers. But in the midst of my tears, I had to smile, too because it felt good to have my Mamma Bear instinct take over. He is our son!

Only one more day.....Wooo Hooo!!!! Then no one can hold you back from your boy. Yippeeeee.
