Jay and I talked and we both are okay with not being selected. Of course, it would have been wonderful, but this baby has found his home and we are very happy for him and the birth and adoptive parents.
It felt so good to be so excited and now we have that feeling in our system and can look forward to feeling that way again......and even better when we are chosen and bring our baby home.
But so many unknowns again - when will we get the next call? when will we be profiled again? will it be for a girl or a boy? or will it be for an expectant mom? how many other profiles will be shown? what will the birth/expectant parents be looking for? will we be chosen? what will the baby look like? how many times will we be profiled before finding our baby? at what point do we become discouraged (we are not there now - we still feel pretty hopeful)?
I know that once our baby finds us and we hold him/her for the first time, these questions will all be answered and everything - all the infertility struggles, the waiting, the disappointments - will all make sense.

You are so right! That baby will find YOU!!! Love your profile! We were also married on July 2 (in 2000) :) Great anniversary! Hugs
Hey Alison, your baby will find you.. i just know it... he/she it out there somewhere and i am sure will find you very soon! ;)
You have a great attitude, Alison! Alot of people who have adopted still grieve their infertility.... I thank god every day that I was not successful during my fertility treatments because I have the child that was meant to be mine.
Hi found your blog from another blog. Love your positive additude. Waiting is all hard but once you are matched the wait will be forgotten or so I have been told : ) Good luck
Michelle
