We are one of "those families"

First off, SORRY I didn't post last week for AJ's 18 weeks bday. It's actually the first week since I have been doing this that I missed a week's post. But I had just posted a few days prior for his 4 month old bday so no biggee, right? Also, with the holidays coming and lots of activities planned, I may not be posting as much. There's just too much to do! But I am loving all of it.

We did, however, celebrate AJ's Great Grandma 's 80th bday last weekend. AJ seemed very relaxed in both Great Grandma's and Great Grandpa's arms.

Part of the reason I am loving all of the upcoming holiday craziness is because we are now one of "those families". You know, those new families out and about with their kids, all giddy about the smallest things their kids do, cooing back and forth with them and just being, well, CUTE. Yeah, those families used to make me sad - I would see them out and I would long so much to experience what they were experiencing. But yesterday Jay, AJ and I spent the entire day together. We went shopping, and to dinner, and as we were sitting at dinner I told Jay that sometimes I still catch myself in that moment of "Oh, my goodness - we are one of "those families". That was one of those moments. We are just so happy and so grateful to have AJ and be able to experience what we use to only observe, envy and long for.

Life is good!

AJ has been extra chatty the last few days. I think he has "found his voice" now and loves to just hear himself make noises. It is so cute.

Last night AJ had some Daddy time with Jay on the couch. He was smiling and laughing and just loving his Daddy. I am pretty sure Jay was loving it too!
Here is AJ's 19 weeks photo. He was being such a a good boy in our office while I was editting pictures and posting this message. Doesn't he look like a big boy in the office chair?

Enjoy those moments - they keep coming! I feel like I try to soak every memory in sometimes, because I know how lucky we are
